## Overview Solaris' Digital Banking product allows you to offer **current accounts** to retail (B2C), freelance, and business (B2B) customers. These are fully-fledged bank accounts with German, French, Italian, or Spanish IBANs (depending on which [branch](#non-german-bank-accounts) you use). With Solaris' current accounts, your customers will have full access to the SEPA network and can make [SEPA Direct Debit](/guides/digital-banking/sepa-transfers/sepa-direct-debit-transfer) and [SEPA Credit Transfer](/guides/digital-banking/sepa-transfers/sepa-credit-transfer) transactions. You can also [issue debit cards](/guides/cards) to them (VISA or MasterCard) with your own custom designs. ### Get started with Solaris' Digital Banking product If you are currently integrating Solaris in your solution for the first time, then please see the [Get started guide](/guides/get-started) for detailed step-by-step instructions on how to do so. ### Digital Banking APIs See the comprehensive [API reference](/api-reference) for full descriptions of every endpoint in the Solaris API. ### What's in this section: See the links in the left-hand navigation about how to manage your customers' accounts, how to set up proper security protocols for the accounts, and how to handle Digital Banking payments in your solution. ## Non-German bank accounts Solaris offers two options for opening bank accounts to customers outside of Germany: - **Passporting:** Solaris opens a bank account with a **German IBAN** for a customer residing outside of Germany within the European Economic Area (EEA). This account is subject to rules and regulations from BaFin, the German financial supervisory authority. - **Branching:** Solaris opens a bank account with a **local IBAN** for a customer residing within a country where Solaris has a branch, subject to the rules of that country's financial supervisory authority. Currently, Solaris offers branching in the following countries: - France - Italy - Spain ### How do I open bank accounts for customers outside of Germany? The [Get started guide](/guides/get-started) is designed to cover the process of onboarding customers in every branch. See the following guides for more information: - [Onboard a person](/guides/get-started/digital-banking/onboard-person) - [Onboard a business](/guides/get-started/digital-banking/onboard-business) note Each country where Solaris has a branch has its own requirements for **customer data points** that you must collect. See the [data collection guide](/guides/get-started/onboarding-requirements/2-data-collection/#2-data-collection) for information about which points are required for each country.
